The SPIB-SGDAP (Special Protocol Interface Board – Signal Generating Device Advanced Protocol) provides a cost effective method of interfacing Pertronic Industries F100A and F120A Fire Alarm Panels with transmitting devices connected to the NZ Fire Service Alarm Transport System (ATS).

The CTU provides fire alarm signals including Alarm and Defect signals to the AFAM Message Handling System (MHS) using Vodafone’s General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The MHS in turn automatically messages the NZ Fire Service Agent as appropriate.

Pertronic Industries' LTX Decoder/Driver (LTX-DDV) board is designed to provide status outputs for an LTX-8 or LTX-16 Alarm Transmitter via its Local Indication Port (LIP). The LTX-DDV board provides 40x250mA open-collector pulldown outputs, each mapped to a specific event. If interfaced to an LTX-8, a LTX-8 LIP Encoder Interface board is required.

Pertronic Industries' NFD Decoder decodes information from an LTX-16 LIP (Local Indication Port) or LTX8 LIP adapter for local indication of Fire and Defect states of connected SGDs. The indication is 'global' only that is, any SGD reporting an alarm will activate the NFD Decoder fire relay and fire LED; and any SGD reporting a fault (or disconnected SGD) will de-energise the defect relay and illuminate the defect LED.

Pertronic Industries' LTX-8 LIP Protocol Encoder is a utility board that converts the LTX-8 opto-coupler output of connected firealarms to an RS485 datastream having the same protocol as the Local Indication Port (LIP) of an LTX-16.
