2351TEM Photoelectric smoke/thermal detectors incorporate an optical chamber and a thermal element, which in turn are continually monitored by an on board processor by using algorithms developed specifically for the unit. An alarm signal is only enabled in the detector once the processor is satisfied that an incipient fire has been detected. By using a combination of inputs, the incidence of nuisance alarms is reduced while at the same time, the response time to an actual fire is also improved.

Base B401
The B401 plug-in Detector Base is used with System Sensor smoke and heat detector heads. The B401 base is intended for use in 2-wire systems, with screw terminals provided for power and remote annunciator connections.

Base B401R
The B401R Detector Base is intended for use in 2-wire systems, with screw terminals provided for power, ground, and remote annunciator connections. The B401R base also contains a 470 ohm resistor to provide current limiting in the alarm state.

The B312RL has been designed to provide interfacing between a Series 300 or 100 detector and 12V or 24V fire systems or security system that requires an external contact to activate an ancillary piece of equipment.
B312NL (12v Relay Base Non Latching)
The B312NL has been designed to provide interfacing between a Series 300 or 100 detector and 12V security control panels that do not provide a reset facility, as the relay base is self-resetting.
B324RL (24v Relay Base Latching)
The B324RL has been designed to provide interfacing between a Series 300 or 100 detector and 24V 4-wire systems or power supplies that require an external contact to activate an ancillary piece of equipment.

Relay Base B412RL (12v Relay Base, Discontinued)
This base does not automatically reset the detector, allowing for easy
identification of the detector which caused an alarm. This base can be used in 4 wire security systems with a reset facility. It can also be used to provide a relay output from a detector installed on a 24V 2 wire fire
system using a series resistance greater than 470Ω.
